10 thing you didn't know about us

Hey friends! To help you get to know us better, here’s some things that you might not know about us!

1. I’m in colorguard! Colorguard has brought me so much joy and I’ve finally found my hobby and some of my bestest friends.

2. I’ve attempted to start maybe five businesses (several sewing ones and a dog rescue), but none of them have ever taken off.

3. My beauty goals are dewy skin with a bold brow, some mascara, winged liner, and a fiery red lip.

4. I love thrifting with August! We have “our” thrift store that has a half-off everything every last Wednesday.

5. I’m a huge fan of Taylor Swift- I know all the words to most of her songs.

6. I honestly cannot do work or focus without some background music.

7. I love creating- whether that’s painting, sewing, knitting, spinning, writing, or picking an outfit out.

8. I love Gilmore Girls! It’s such a cute, feel-good show and it’s particularly special because it’s one of my mom’s favorites, too.

9. My favorite songs right now are probably “betty” by Taylor Swift, “Baby” by Madison Beer, “Sway with Me” by Saweetie, ”Kiwi” by Harry Styles, and "Ours" by Taylor Swift.

10. One of my favorite nail polishes (though it does have a tendency to chip, at least for me)- and the one I’m wearing right now- is Essie’s Jump in my Jumpsuit.

Hi! As I sit down to write this article, I realize how different Adia and I are, compared to when we first met. I think that’s very interesting because when we first met, we kind of had the same personality as each other. I would compare Adia as a pair of brightly colored sandals and myself as a pair of old work boots (I think this analogy is weird). Anyways, my point is that we’ve grown into different people over the years and I cherish that, and this article is a great way to get to know us!

1. I play the cello. Ok, probably most people know this about me because I never shut up about it, but I genuinely love playing and it brings me great joy to improve and play.

2. I really like college football, specifically SEC East football. I love UGA football, and put every game on my calendar, so I don’t miss the scores. I’m not sure I’d like to attend UGA, but I sure do like their football.

3. I’ve watched “The Office” seven or eight times, and always have it on in the background.

4. I’ve been to all four corners of the United States! (Maine, Florida, California, and Washington)

5. My favorite type of food is Asian food. I’m currently working my way through an extensive list of restaurants I’d like to try.

6. I don’t have a favorite color. I like all colors and really can’t pin down a specific shade I like.

7. I have a septum piercing. I pierced my septum in June, and I love having a septum ring.

8. I don’t buy any clothes brand new, with the exception of a few things. I think that most everything can be bought secondhand, and it’s better for the environment.

9. I mostly listen to early nineties grunge music, some rock and metal, and some more modern indie music.

10. I usually end up falling asleep in the afternoon, and as a result, I go to bed pretty late.
